The mission of Waverly's Promise is to alleviate pet hunger and neglect due to owner hardship by soliciting for and collecting food and other essentials for distribution through a network of agencies and programs in Union, Northumberland, and Lycoming counties.
Waverly's Promise was founded and dedicated to the memory of Lawanna Beitz Mena. An international businesswoman and philanthropist dedicated to her family, employees, and the communities she lived in. She instilled in her son, Dr Brian Beitz, the importance of helping others and the need to make sure everyone had food to eat. Dr Beitz expanded his mother's mission of feeding people in need to include all members of the family, their dogs and cats. Waverly's Promise was created to help make sure no pet goes hungry and stays part of the family they love.
Waverly's Promise was established to help people in need continue taking care of their pets so that they don't have to surrender them.
We believe that providing pet food and supplies to as many pets as possible to allow them to remain with their families in times of financial duress. We also believe in ensuring pets can stay with their owners if they are seniors, disabled or homeless.
We believe that providing this assistance helps the pet(s) remain with their current home rather than being turned over to local animal shelters or abandoned.
Donations can be brought to Waverly Kennels or you may use PayPal to make a monetary donation.
